There are many different shops, restaurants and bars in this regional capital city, as well as banks, schools and other infrastructure. Town centre is only a few minutes walking from the villa. Saalfelden is a very central location in regard to skiing areas, It takes approx 10min to get to the ski area of Leogang - Saalbach - Hinterglemm, as well as to the ski area Hochkönig in Maria Alm. Zell am See and Kaprun are approx 25 min drive. There are good walking and cross country skiing facilities in Saalfelden.

In summer, Saalfelden is a nice place to stay as there are many things to explore. There are 2 golf courses in the direct envirenment, several open air swimming pools as well as mountain lakes. Walking, biking, mountainbiking but also rafting, mountain climbing or parasailing are possible in the region. A daytour to Salzburg to go shopping, visit one of the many musea or have a picnic in one of the city parcs are recommended. Due to its central location a visit to Tyrol or Zell am See are also possible. But ofcourse spending the day in your own garden and enjoy the mountain views is also very relaxing.
