In summer, the area is well known for its walking and mountainbiking facilities and for the Dachstein glacier of course. Rußbach has a nature pool with waterpark to cool down and relax on a hot summer day. Or you can visit one of the lakes of the Salzkammergut, not more than 30min driving away.
