You are close to several skiing areas: Rauris is only 5km from the cottage, Dorfgastein - Grossarl is approx 15min drive, Zell am See and Kaprun are both 20min drive and the skiing area of St Johann Alpendorf - Wagrain - Flachau is approx 30min drive. This offers a great variety of skiing areas, from family skiing area in Rauris to summer skiing on the glacier in Kaprun.

Both Taxenbach as Embach are approx 5km from the house. Here you find supermarkets, restaurants, bars, banks and other shops for your daily needs. Many large towns are within 1 hour drive: St Johann, Bischofshofen (trainstation) and Zell am See. The birth city of Mozart, Salzburg is also approx 1hour drive. The closest airport is Salzburg, offering low fair flights to many UK destinations throughout the year.

The surroundngs of the cottage are perfect for making great natural hikes and mountainbike tours in summer. Due to its central location there are different daytours possible, for example: the Liechtensteinklamm in St Johann im Pongau, the Großglocker Hochalpstraße, the Krimmler Waterfalls, the lakes of Carinthia, etc.

The house was built in 1976. It has its own parking lot from where you take the stairs to the cottage. The house is facing south west providing lots of sunshine and stunning views over the valley. The terrace has a size of 35sqm. The cottage has a spacious living room with open fire place. There are 3 bedrooms and a sauna on the lower floor. The house is heated with wood in combination with electrical heating. The floors are carpeted. With adaptions to your own style you can create a wunderful and peaceful holiday cottage.
