For sale in St Michael im Lungau are 2 cottages which belong together. The Lungau is a region where tourism has developped very strongly over the last years. The result of this is that for example the skiing areas have been extended and ski lifts have been renewed. Furthermore, more activities for tourists are organised nowadays. The region is located just south of the High Tauern Mountains at relatively high level above sea. This results in snow certain winters. The skiing areas offer variation: the Grosseck Speiereck (50km) has long slopes with traditional mountain restaurants where the Katschberg Aineck (70km) skiing area is more crowded and offers nice apres ski. (70km piste). The skiing area of Obertauern which is open from November to the beginning of Mai is for the serious skier and has 110km slopes. 

Due to its altitude there often is snow in the valley in winter as well. This ofcourse is perfect for those who love cross country skiing. There are many tracks, through villages and through unspoiled nature. Winter walking is also a good option here, along the river the Muhr of through one of the small villages of the Lungau.

Summers in the Lungau are very sunny, as the valley is located south of the High Tauern Mountains. The wheather influence from South Europe is dominant. Walking and cycling can be enjoyed either in the valley or up in the mountains. There is a nicely landscaped 18-holes golf course that is open from the early spring on. The area is very child friendly: there are special children activities organised as well as severals walking paths where children get information about nature in a creative way. There is a heated open air swimming pool in St Michael. There is a restaurant at walking distance of the house, supermarkets and other shops are at approx 5min drive.

The holiday home consists of 2 small houses. The white house was renovated in 1999: it got new window fences, a new roof and new floorings. The wooden house was built in 1998 and is therefore in good condition. Both houses will be sold including furniture. The garden is facing south and is very sunny. It also gives a great panoramic view onto the surrounding mountains.
