The well known skiing area of Königsleiten - Gerlos - Zell am Ziller is only a few miles from Wald im Pinzgau. It has more than 100km ski slopes freshly prepared for you and very good apres ski. At the other side of Wald, it takes 5min by car or skibus to the family skiing area Wildkogel in Neukirchen. This skiing area has 55km of slopes for beginners to advanced skiers. Cross country skiing tracks are directly in Wald. You can choose from a variety of restaurants to enjoy dinner in the evening. The daily shopping is no problem in Wald: there is a supermarket, a bakery, a bank and a sports shop. Furthermore, there is a mineral museum and the Kristallbad swimming pool with indoor and outdoor pool, a great slide and sauna. 

In summer, Wald im Pinzgau is a great destination. As it is located in the national parc High Tauern there are many walking and cycling paths. Guides are available to show you the hidden secrets of the mountains but you are ofcourse welcome to explore the alps by yourself as well. The outdoor centre in Wald offers more adventurous activities such as a climbing course, canyoning, Flying Fox, etc.. The closest golf course is in Mittersill, a second one in Zell am See. Another great tourist attraction are the famous waterfalls in Krimml, known all over Europe. As Wald is connected to the Lokalbahn, the local train line with regular rides between Wald and Zell am See, the town is very easy to get to. 

The house is build against the mountains, overlooking the town and offering great views on the surrounding mountains. The location is very sunny and quiet.
